On-post residents and organizations are encouraged to clear their building’s surroundings of light debris like leaves and branches and dispose of bulk trash. Thursday, October 3, is German Unity Day (Tag der Deutschen Einheit), a public holiday across Germany. Some services around the garrison staffed largely by local national professionals will be closed, as well as most off-post shops and services. The opening of both Enhanced Security Pedestrian Gates (ESPGs) on Kelley Barracks has been delayed.
