USAG Stuttgart’s fire department travelled to CDC’s around the garrison meeting junior members of our community during Fire Prevention Week, between Oct. 3-9 in 2021.
Children of the Kelley Barracks CDC received a visit from the USAG Stuttgart fire fighters, Thursday Oct. 7, and received goodies and a tour of one of the USAG Stuttgart fire department vehicles. This was part of a series of activities undertaken by the department this week.
This year’s FPW campaign, “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety!” works to educate everyone about the different sounds the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms make. Knowing what to do when an alarm sounds will keep you and your family safe. When an alarm makes noises – a beeping sound or a chirping sound – you must take action.
During the week, the fire fighters toured every CDC and also set up a booth at the Panzer PX to reach out to community members about fire safety.
