Army & Air Force Exchange Service Public Affairs
In partnership with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service honored all who served during the Vietnam War with commemorative lapel pins on National Vietnam War Veterans Day, March 29 at the Panzer Main Exchange, marking the war’s 50th anniversary.
Vietnam-era Veterans who served on active duty between Nov. 1, 1955 and May 15, 1975, were invited to visit the Main Exchange to receive their United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin.
“The EUCOM Exchange is privileged to partner with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration to offer this token of our Nation’s appreciation to those who served during the Vietnam War,” said Exchange General Manager – Mike Ryan. “Too few of those who served during Vietnam received the homecoming their distinguished service deserved. We are truly honored to be a part of this commemoration and to do our part to honor the distinguished service of our Vietnam Veterans.”
The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration is a program administered by the Office of the Secretary of Defense to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. The U.S. began commemoration of the Vietnam War’s 50th anniversary in 2012 and will continue through Veterans Day 2025.
The Exchange is a 50th Anniversary Vietnam War Commemorative Partner, planning and conducting events and activities that recognize Vietnam Veterans and their families for service, valor and sacrifice in conjunction with the commemoration.
