U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart’s Best Warrior competition is underway.
The four-day competition started Feb. 21 with competitors taking part in the Army Physical Fitness Test, combatives, a board appearance and a “surprise” written essay.
The 10 service members will take part in the obstacle course, and day and night land navigation today (Feb. 22).
Still to come is a 12-mile ruck march; Situational Training Exercise (STX), with seven stations, warrior tasks, and battle drills; and, zero and weapon qualification on the M4 carbine, M16 rifle, and M9 pistol.
The competition will identify the “Best Warrior” in two categories, “Service Member of the Year” for E-1 to E-4, and “Noncommissioned Officer/Petty Officer of the Year” for E-5-E-7. The winner from each of these categories will represent USAG Stuttgart at the Installation Management Command-Europe regional competition this March in Stuttgart.
