UPDATE: Per the USAREUR-AF RMV, the fee increases will now take effect Oct. 1.
Administration fees for two vehicle registration transactions have risen in Stuttgart and across Germany effective Oct. 1, 2024, due to policy changes by the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Registry of Motor Vehicles.
Late renewals of non-operational registrations and reinstatement of canceled registrations are affected.
As Oct. 1, renewing a non-operational registration that has been expired for less than 30 days will incur a fee of $25, and reinstating a canceled registration (when it has been expired for more than 30 days, lapsed temporary plates, loss of insurance coverage or other non-compliance reasons) will incur a fee of $70, plus the applicable registration fee.
