Schorndorf will host SchoWo, the city’s summer street festival, from July 12-16.
Events will kick off July 12 at 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. On July 13, the fest will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., and July 14-16 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The festival will span from Marktplatz and Spitalhof to am Ochsenberg, Schloss and throughout the historic downtown area.
Concerts, dance performances, entertainment and children’s activities will be offered.

Stuttgart will host the Lichterfest, or festival of lights, July 13 from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the “Höhenpark” Killesberg park and leisure area.
The event will feature a 30-minute fireworks display set to music at 10:15 p.m., and the entire park area will be “magically” illuminated.
Bands will also entertain the crowds with pop, rock, soul, blues and electro tunes.
Patrons can indulge in Swabian, and international foods and beverages. Trampolines, a hands-on circus, bouncing castles and various playgrounds throughout the Killesberg park area will offer child-friendly activities.
Entrance tickets will cost €14. Family tickets (two adults and two children 15 years old or younger) will cost €32 when purchased early. At the door, expect to pay €17 for single admission, €36 for a family.

The Solitude Revival international old-timer and motorcycle racing festival will be held at the “Solitude-Ring” racing ring in Leonberg July 19-21.
The event will run July 19 from 2-6 p.m. and July 20 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Classic racing cars, such as the Alfa Romeo 33/2 Le Mans from 1968, motorcycles and sidecars will participate in various races throughout the three-day festival.
The first racing at the Solitude racing ring took place in 1903.
A “Paddock Party” featuring popular rock ‘n’ roll songs from the 50s and 60s will be held July 19 and from 6-10 p.m. on July 20.
Tickets cost €13 when purchased in advance, or €18 at the event. On July 19, the event is free.

Sindelfingen will celebrate its 750th city anniversary with a historic fest weekend July 20-21 in downtown Sindelfingen, the Sommerhofenpark and the Mercedes-Benz factory.
Events will be offered July 20 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and July 21 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The fest weekend will start with the “Kuchenritt,” a historic parade, July 20.
Patrons can go on a “Zeitspaziergang,” or time walk, that will illustrate Sindelfingen’s history from past to present with theater performances and information booths July 20 and 21.
The Mercedes-Benz factory in Sindelfingen will also open its doors to the public throughout the weekend.
A light and sound show will be held the evening of July 20 and 21.
Bands will entertain the crowds with live music. Food and beverages will be offered, as well.

Historic city tours of Sindelfingen in English will be offered July 13 and Sept. 14 from 3-4:30 p.m.

The Henkersfest will run July 24-27 at the “Wilhelmsplatz” in downtown Stuttgart.
The fest will be open July 24 and 25 from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., July 26 from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., and July 27 from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The outdoor event will feature international foods, cocktail bar and live bands.

The Stuttgarter Sommerfest, or summer fest, will run Aug. 1-4.
The fest will span from Schlossplatz and the Neues Schloss to the State Opera, and will be open Aug. 1 from 11 a.m. until midnight, Aug. 2 and 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Aug. 4 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The event will feature live bands summer cocktails, Swabian cuisine and seafood.

The Konstanzer Seenachtfest, or Lake Constance Festival, will be held Aug. 10 from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. all along Konstanz’ boardwalk area.
The fest will feature a fireworks display set to music at 10:15 p.m.
In addition to the fireworks, visitors can indulge in food, enjoy salsa bands, zumba, samba and capoeira (Brazilian martial arts combining dance with acrobatics and music) performances.
