The Böblingen-Ost on-ramp to Autobahn 81 in the direction of Stuttgart will be closed for most of August due to major construction work, impacting travelers leaving the area of Panzer Kaserne.
The ramp is scheduled to be closed from Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, at 10 p.m., until approximately Saturday, Aug. 31 at 6 a.m.
A marked detour runs to the Sindelfingen-Ost on-ramp less than one mile away via County Road/Kreisstrasse 1055 (commonly referred to by members of the military community as “Frog Road”). Allow extra travel time for using the detour and for journeys between Panzer and Patch.
The reason for the closure is initial construction work for the redesign of the entire junction area.
