Medical officials at Stuttgart Army Health Clinic have published COVID-19 school recommendations for U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart community members.
In a Aug. 20 memo, Lt. Col. Troy Baker, a public health emergency officer at SAHC, outlines definitions of key terms, such as confirmed positive, presumed positive and patient under investigation. The memo also includes contact definitions for close contact, household contact, classroom contact and more.
Baker, who has joined Col. Jason Condrey, the USAG Stuttgart commander, during many recent coronavirus livestream updates, also defines symptoms and what students and parents should do if students become ill at school.
“Notify appropriate school personnel and go home,” Baker said. “Stop by the clinic on way home for COVID testing if possible.”
