STUTTGART, Germany – On June 4, U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart transitioned to Health Protection Condition level to “HPCON B.” Signs by garrison access points changed to reflect that. In light of these favorable conditions and moving to HPCON B, the garrison will resume additional services.
The services and dates below are current plans, as of June 4, and are subject to changes to coronavirus restrictions, direction from higher commands and host nation ordinance considerations.
As of June 2, private organization meetings are allowed – indoor up to 10 people; outdoor up to 20 people – with a maximum 100 participants with assigned seating and limit co-mingling. Private organization must use USAG Stuttgart Event COVID-19 Mitigation Plan guidance to include written mitigation plan. COVID-19-related mitigation measures include sanitizing, max customer capacity, face masks, physical separation reminders, and attendance records.
Regarding openings, here are the garrison planned openings with a discussion of planned coronavirus mitigation:
On June 5, the garrison will reopen community playgrounds.
On June 8, these services will re-open:
- Child Development Centers (CDC) – Limited to capacity to previously identified mission critical members based upon mission partner allocations. COVID-19-related mitigation measures are in place.
- Fitness Facilities – Open to mission partners at user-generated times, limited to max customer capacity based upon public health assessment and HN standards. COVID-19-related mitigation measures are in place.
- Indoor, sit-down dining (AAFES, DFMWR, German Kantines). COVID-19-related mitigation measures include sanitizing, max customer capacity, face masks, physical separation reminders, and attendance records.
- Galaxy Bowling Center (use of bowling lanes). COVID-19-related mitigation measures include sanitizing, max customer capacity, face masks, physical separation reminders, and attendance records. Mitigation measures mirror those employed by similar HN bowling centers.
- SKIES lessons (group and individual) – Tennis, Music, German language, Leisure games (Bocce ball, frisbee golf, etc.), Track and Field/Agility training, Archery, Smart Start (fitness for 3-4 yr olds). Tennis lessons outdoors; music and language indoors. Spacing monitored by instructor; Smart Start (fitness for 3-4 yr olds) will not include tumbling. Parents accompany children. COVID-19-related mitigation measures include sanitizing, max customer capacity, physical separation reminders, and attendance records.
- Warrior Adventure Quest. Service Member only (Leadership/team building program). Day trip only, focus on outdoor climbing activities – scheduling to begin immediately. Participants use Privately Owned Vehicles. COVID-19-related mitigation measures include sanitizing, max customer capacity, physical separation reminders, and attendance records.
- Community Clubs and Conference Rooms. Maximum 100 patrons with assigned seating. Must use USAG Stuttgart Event COVID-19 Mitigation Plan guidance to include written mitigation plan. Existing reservations on the books. COVID-19-related mitigation measures include sanitizing, max customer capacity, physical separation reminders, and attendance records.
- ARMP/Slot Machines. COVID-19 related mitigation measures to be implemented – sanitizing, max customer capacity, face masks, physical separation.
- The Behavioral Health Clinic Stuttgart – Expanding available services face-to-face services. By appointment. COVID-19 related mitigation measures to be implemented.
Opening on June 15,
- Broadway Café (food/beverage take-only). COVID-19 related mitigation measures for food service to be implemented – sanitizing, max customer capacity, face masks, physical separation reminders.
- SKIES lessons (group and individual) – Stroller Fitness and Dance. Lessons conducted outdoors and indoors. Spacing monitored by instructor. COVID-19-related mitigation measures include sanitizing, max customer capacity, physical separation reminders, and attendance records.
- Club Bars (Schwabian and Kelley Club). Occupancy limited to 50% of capacity. COVID-19-related mitigation measures include sanitizing, max customer capacity, physical separation reminders, and attendance records.
Opening June 17
- DFMWR Hunting Course (to include continuation of course that paused for COVID). Range shooting, exam completed at German Schutzenhaus. COVID-19-related mitigation measures include sanitizing, max customer capacity, face masks, physical separation reminders, and attendance records.
Opening July 6
- SKIES lessons (group and individual) – Horseback riding, Soccer. Lessons conducted outdoors. Spacing monitored by instructor. COVID-19-related mitigation measures include sanitizing, max customer capacity, physical separation reminders, and attendance records.
